October Loot: 500 Dollar
Still have Figma and Nendoroid BRS reserved since i havent settled my payments yet, busy with exam for the past 2 weeks and they are supposed to be my October loots (delays, arrgghh... I'm pretty broke now). Anyway exams just ended today for me, and the first thing i did was to rush to a retail shop to get my loot which i had ordered one last week, or to be exact, since 1st October. It's my first full touch screen smart phone. I wanted this phone for the sole purpose of photography, because i have no plans on buying DSLR for the next couple of years i think.
Nokia N8, packing 12 megapixels, but it's not the pixel factor that counts - the CMOS sensor is rated at 1/1.83 (Huge one for a phone, even some point and shoot digital cameras are inferior), xenon flash, 720p HD video recording and delivers Dolby Digital Surround Sound; and more pluses - USB port (micro USB with an adapter) and HDMI port!! Huh, i might get questions like, why not get iPhone 4 or an Android which is far superior? I don't know, but I'm pretty accustomed to Symbian already, and i refuse to criticise others, a matter of preference actually. The term "superior" is quite subjective. I'm quite satisfied after toying with it (maybe because it's the first time i used a capacitative touch screen).
But, as i said, i need a superior camera, as i have bee using an old 5MP camera phone for photoshooting and reviews (other 12MP phones- Sony Satio and Samsung Pixon 12 are inferior). All other Android smartphones & iPhone behind the N8 currently. It's cheap, USD $525, but it still burned my wallet though.
